First You Get Rid Of The Sacramentals...
Then you get rid of the Sacraments
More lunacy out of the Cape Fear Deanery.
A week or so back, I posted of certain parish in this Deanery that went directly against the direction given by The Congregation for Divine Worship and Discipline of the Sacraments in regards of replacing Holy Water with sand during Lent.
Now I find out that another parish within this Deanery has cancelled ALL Confessions during Holy Week.
I found the following signs posted next to the supply room turned Confessional.
Here is the non-explanation of why so from both the Feb. 28th on-line bulletin, and from today's on-line bulletin;
Reconciliation Times
here at St. Mark
during Lent
Saturdays 3:30-4:30 PM
Tuesdays 5:00-5:45 PM
Thursdays 11:00-11:45 AM
**Although Reconciliation will
still be available at other times by
appointment, please avail
yourselves of the Reconciliation
Services and scheduled times that
we have listed.
There will be
NO CONFESSIONS
during Holy Week
Sure wouldn't want anyone to think that Confession is all that important. Especially right before Easter.
