A real admiral
at helm of 'Tea Party at Sea'
See who's relieving Farah of command on WND cruise

WASHINGTON – When WND began planning its "Tea Party at Sea" Caribbean cruise set for September, planners billed Chief Executive Officer Joseph Farah as the honorary "admiral."
But, since then, a real U.S. Navy admiral has stepped into the breach to relieve Farah of his command.
In fact, the new admiral of the "Tea Party at Sea" is not only an actual retired admiral, he's a war hero, long-suffering prisoner of war, former U.S. senator, Ronald Reagan's Cold War ally and author of the classic "When Hell Was in Session."
That would be Jeremiah Denton – who was famously held as a POW in North Vietnam for seven years and seven months, much of that time in solitary confinement and enduring torture.
During the Vietnam War, Denton served as commanding officer of Attack Squadron 75 aboard the USS Independence. He was shot down on July 18, 1965, while leading an air strike against North Vietnamese stronghold, Thanh Hoa.
During his years in the POW camp, Denton refused to betray his country, at his own expense. He famously blinked in Morse code the word "torture" to confirm the atrocious acts that were being committed on imprisoned soldiers during an interview with a foreign journalist.
Later he was elected to the U.S. Senate from the state of Alabama and worked side by side with President Reagan to free Central America of Communist subversion.
"It is a great honor for me to step down as honorary admiral under these circumstances," said Farah. "Admiral Denton is one of my personal heroes as well as one of our greatest living national treasures. I know everyone attending the "Tea Party at Sea" this year will be inspired to hear his recollections, his ideas about taking America back and have the opportunity to get to know this American living legend. I'll be happy just to serve as first mate on this voyage."
Admiral Denton will also be addressing WND's "Taking America Back National Conference" in Miami just prior to the cruise.
"If you want a strategic briefing on the threats America faces – both externally and internally – I can think of no one with a clearer vision to present them than former Senator Jeremiah Denton," said Farah. "I am looking forward to hearing what he has to say and for the chance to get to know him better."
Admiral Denton will be joined on the cruise by WND's hosts, Joseph and Elizabeth Farah; senior staff writer Jerome Corsi, author of the new book, "The Shroud Codex"; Jerusalem bureau chief Aaron Klein, author of the bestselling "Manchurian President"; and WND managing editor David Kupelian, author of the new book, "How Evil Works."

Meanwhile, prior to the cruise, WND's "Taking America Back National Conference" is also shaping up, with headliners Ann Coulter and Alan Keyes being joined by Farah, Corsi, Klein, Denton, Kupelian, former Rep. Tom Tancredo and much more – including some of the liveliest and most unforgettable debates you will ever see.
